Drain Cleaning

The number one reason people call their plumber is for a clogged drain

Dealing with a clogged drain:

  • A sewer line backup can be a huge mess
  • Waste leaving your home every day could suddenly find its way back in
  • Dirt and sludge can build up in pipes
  • Left untreated, you must dig up your whole yard to replace the broken pipe

Clogged drains are a big hassle. Dirt and sludge can build up in pipes creating a grotesque and impassable barrier that suffocates your plumbing and keeps waste from leaving your home. Let us help you!

Drain Cleaning Methods

BioSmart

BioSmart is a blend of bacteria and enzymes that should be used as preventative maintenance on your drains to help keep them clean. Bio Smart “eats” away at the waste that has accumulated on the sides and top of the drain pipe.

BioSmart is:

  • Safe (it’s non-poisonus)
  • Effective (starts working within an hour)
  • Economical
  • Muli-Purpose (can be used on all drain lines)

Cabling

Drain lines can back up for a number of reasons (roots, foreign object, collapsed lines, bellies, improper grade). We can cable any drain line from different points of access and cable to city/county main lines to open plugged lines for commercial or residential lines. We guide cutting blades through drain lines to remove or push through the drains to clear the line and restore, proper drainage flow to get you back in business!

Jetting

Meares Plumbing has a modern fleet of specialty equipment includes vehicles equipped with high pressure jetting machines which produce up to 2,500 pounds per square inch (p.s.i) of pressure. The efficient and environmentally safe power of high pressure water jetting is used to scour and remove grease, sludge and other debris from all types of lines and surfaces. The process is safe to use on any type of piping and may be used in conjunction with cabling or root cutting equipment. When used as a part of your regular maintenance program, this service can assist in keeping your wastewater system functioning properly and can help prevent the need for emergency calls.

Video Camera Inspection & Locate

Meares Plumbing can inspect your sewer line with a sewer camera and provide you with a video of the inspection. We can also locate where the sewer line is in your yard and where within the line the problem exists. If a problem is found we can provide you with a solution by repairing or replacing the line.

“If you want a knowledgeable friendly plumber you need to call Meares. They fixed a stubborn toilet I thought had been fixed by another company and still didn’t flush right. They also facilitated getting the best water heater and worked with TECO to get it all sorted out. Very happy, became a Diamond member because we know we like this company and the work they did.”

“Annual inspection of all plumbing fixtures, including water heater flush. Nick was thorough. Pointed out potential future issues and provided detailed written, itemized quotes for recommended work. No pressure, though. We have used Meares Plumbing for several years for our plumbing needs. We highly recommend them.”
